New Members

Prospective members are required to show three recent framed pictures and a portfolio of their work to the Committee who may elect them to associate membership.

After one year their associate status is reviewed and the Committee, at its discretion, will consider granting full membership.

Owing to restricted meeting and exhibition facilities we have to operate a ceiling on the number of members admitted.

Meetings

The Society meets on the last Friday of each month when members bring along their latest works for appraisal.

The Society is not a teaching society and expects its members to have reached a standard that will enhance the Society. The members find the monthly meetings helpful and informative, drawing upon each other’s experience as an aid to their advancement.

As so many artists work in isolation the meetings provide an opportunity for like-minded people to enjoy the camaraderie created. Members choose a picture each month which is then displayed in the James Paget Hospital.

From time to time the Society organises guest speakers or demonstrators.
