Artist: Margaret Carver RMS SWA
Margaret, who was born at West Caister Norfolk, grew up with the wide open spaces of the marshes around her and it is these scenes which she tries to capture working in oils, pastels and water colours. She specialises in landscapes working mostly outside on location.
She regularly exhibits at galleries in London and is a member of the Royal Miniature Society, the Society of Women Artists and the Hilliard Society. In 1996 she was awarded a commendation of excellence for six miniature landscapes at a prestigious exhibition of 800 miniatures in London. She has held seven successful solo exhibitions in East Anglia and has demonstrated at the World Exhibition of Miniature Art in London.
Margaret retired as Chairman of the Society in April 2014 after servig for 28 years in this post. In recognition of her long and dedicated service to the Society she was awarded Honorary Life Membership.
