Rachel attended Gt. Yarmouth College of Art and Bately School of art where she studied Surface painting and textiles. In 1987 she was a runner up in the House and Designer of the Year competition.

She worked as an interior designer in London and as a freelance textile designer in Nottingham. She travelled widely around the world where she developed her individual style of painting.

Rachel's work is vibrant and creative, her impressionistic approach captures the light and energy of the subject, drawing her inspiration from the colour, texture and atmosphere of nature and her surroundings.

Rachel has exhibited throughout the Uk and in 2003 held an exhibition of her work in the Houses of  Parliament.
